After living in the city for awhile you finally figure out the transit. I’d like to share with you some things that I know that will make my day easier when I’m traveling around the city.
1. If you’re traveling on the F train and plan on getting out at the 2nd Ave Stop and plan to get out at 1st ave you should be in the second or first train car in the front. It will stop right by the exit and that way you buy pass the stair traffic. It can be quite brutal during the after work hours.
2. If you find that you have missed the F train at Herald Square Stop get on the D if it shows up right away which it will a lot of the times. The D is express and will beat that F train which you can then catch at 4th Street Stop. You’ll feel like a fucking genius.
3. If you’re taking the 6 train heading up towards the N Q transfer at Lexington Stop you’ll want to run really fast so you can catch the N or the Q. They usually show up at the same time. I have found this to be true most of the time.
Let me know if you know of anything else.
